Past Healthy Tomorrow Events

In March of 2014 we showed the film Moolaadé at Lesley University. It is a powerful story about a village being won over to the anti-FGM position by a feisty, non-conformist woman who stands up for her daughter and other girls. We are proud that we got the movie, which is in Bambara the local language of Mali, on TV in Mali for the first time.

Susan gave a presentation at the Ethical Society of Boston in October 2012. Here's her slide show and the discussion that followed. The video she showed can be seen here.

In March 2012, Susan McLucas and Wyoma did a presentation at the Community Church of Boston about the work of Sini Sanuman. To view the event click the following links:

Healthy Tomorrow organized a film screening and panel discussion at Harvard University on April 19 2011. Secret of the Dawn is a documentary about FGM and efforts to stop it, and includes opinions and activities of Sini Sanuman. Check out an article about the event from Examiner.com/Boston. Every year we hold a rug sale in December to raise money for Sini Sanuman. We also hold occasional public events.
